Bridging the gap between South Africa and London in one seamless listen, London’s trailblazer Reezy Rye has joined forces with Bravo Le Roux for their exhilarating single, “Haybo”.
This track marks a new beginning for Reezy Rye as he continues to make his mark on the UK’s bustling rap scene. Currently working on his forthcoming EP, this isn’t the last you’ll hear of him!
Posing as a cross-cultural celebration, “Haybo” fuses the sounds of Kwaaito and London in a ferocious rap track. A melting pot of cultures, the infectious beat produced by Trigga and Shaney Jay houses distinctive bass lines of South Africa that compliment London’s high-energy and grit.
Boasting an unrivalled synergy between both artists, “Haybo” is welcomed with deep, syncopated rhythms and a pulsating bass that nods to Kwaaito’s township roots before introducing the UK’s renowned rapid-fire lyrics and punching delivery.
Harnessed with an infectious hook, “Haybo” is a vibrant single that pays homage to both musical traditions.
When asked about the release Reezy Rye commented, “The inspiration behind the song felt effortless. I was working on a song with Donel for Scorpion Music Group’ new compilation, in the studio with Trigga, and then Bravo pulled up with Shaney Jay and Youngsta’ CPT.
The vibe was instant, we connected right away, feeding off each other’s energy. From that moment, everything just flowed naturally, and before we knew it, we had something special. The rest, as they say, is history.”
