South Africa’s DESIREE Joins Global Icons At Coachella 2025 And Announces Africa Tour

DESIREE, the trailblazing South African producer-DJ, continues her ascent with a groundbreaking milestone: her inclusion in the Coachella 2025 line-up.

DESIREE cements her place on one of the world’s most iconic stages, becoming a beacon of inspiration for a new generation of African artists.

This achievement marks a pivotal moment in her career as she embarks on an electrifying African tour that will take her unique sound to audiences across the continent.

A connoisseur of electronic music and a vibrant selector from the house capital of South Africa, DESIREE’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. Hailing from Ivory Park, Johannesburg, she honed her craft blending eclectic influences with the rich rhythmic soul of her homeland.

Now, as she prepares to debut at Coachella on both weekends (13 & 20 April 2025), DESIREE continues to break barriers as an intersex woman in the global music scene, amplifying her mission to bring diverse voices to the forefront.

“Coachella is a dream come true,” says DESIREE. “The thought of playing Coachella still gives me butterflies! My journey from Ivory Park to one of electronic music’s biggest stages… it’s proof that staying true to yourself and your sound can take you places you never imagined. I’m excited to bring my whole self to that stage – my story, my music, my energy. It’s going to be something special”

After landmark debuts at both Glastonbury and Tomorrowland this year, DESIREE wraps up her remarkable 2024 journey with dates across Africa, including the return of her MMINO party series in January – with Brussels powerhouse Blck Mamba taking the headline slot.

Interlacing orchestral grandeur with haunting melodies, the EP captures DESIREE’s ability to create music that’s both emotionally resonant and irresistibly danceable.
